Rosanna

Rosanna completed her Master’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford and has since gone on to excel in a career in education. Having worked as a Science teacher in leading independent schools in the UK and internationally, Rosanna began to specialise in private tutoring and mentoring, particularly among SEND students with dyslexia or ADHD.

Rebecca

Send Qualified Tutor and Mentor

Rebecca achieved straight As in her A-levels in Geography, Environmental Science, English Language, and Music. She went on to study Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia (UEA), which included a year at Deakin University in Australia. After completing her dissertation in Sustainability, she pursued a Master’s degree in the same field, graduating with a high Merit overall. Her career spans over a decade of environmental work, including sustainability and CSR management, ecology and conservation, as well as developing training and leadership programmes. Her main subjects are Geography, English, and mentoring. She has been a hugely successful tutor and mentor of both high-achieving and SEND students, thriving most of all on encouraging them to discover joy in education and a wider interest in the world. She can also consult on university plans relating to ecological industries, geography, or sustainability.

Heather

SEND Specialist Tutor

Heather is an experienced, compassionate, and adaptable SEND teacher with over a decade of teaching in specialist settings, supporting children and young people aged 4–19 with a wide range of additional needs. She has a proven ability to personalise learning, foster independence, and lead initiatives that enhance communication, inclusion, and wellbeing. Passionate about helping learners thrive both academically and personally, Heather brings creativity and dedication to every aspect of her work. She studied Education Studies at the University of Lincoln and the University of Derby, and continues to draw on her strong academic foundation to inform her teaching practice.

Joanna

SEND Qualified Tutor/Examiner

Joanna is a highly experienced tutor with over 20 years of experience working both as a tutor of English Literature and Language up to GCSE but also as a SEND qualified tutor working with students with a range of needs. She received a First Class Honours degree in English Literature from the University of York. She completed her PG Certificate in Understanding Dyslexia from South Bank University, a CELTA (Grade A) from the University of Cambridge, and a PGCE from the University of Greenwich. She has years of experience working with students in UK colleges and is one our examiners.

Matt

SEND Qualified/Oxbridge Tutor

Matt graduated from Cambridge University with a BA (2.1) in English Literature and then completed a certificate in Theology before progressing to his MA in Theology, Ministry and Mission at Trinity College, Bristol. He has extensive experience teaching all levels of English Literature and Language up to university, and is also a mentor in providing support to Oxbridge applications as well as to the other Russell Group universities. Matt also qualified as a SEND tutor, and spent three years working as a Student Ministry Assistant at Holy Trinity Church in Cambridge, where he oversaw a ministry of 150+ students. He is a patient and highly conscientious tutor, speaks a number of languages and is also a musician.

Specialists in Learning Wounds

The theory of Learning Wounds is a new field emerging from Warwick University. Coined by the Director of Psychotherapy department, Phil Goss, the term has been the focus of a research group there spanning the fields of mathematics anxiety, education, psychotherapy and careers studies.

Learning wounds are the learning harms that students experience in schooling environments that might be psychological, social, cognitive, short-term or long-term. The identities that we inhabit as students can often carry over into our working lives unless we deal with them earlier in our journeys.

As one of the founding members of the research group, Naomi Sutherland, founder of Strategia Education, is a specialist in the area of learning wounds.
