Sian

Sian is a highly experienced tutor specialising in the 7+-13+ age group for English Literature and Language. She has helped dozens of students into the top private schools of the UK, including Sevenoaks, Canford, Marlborough College, Brighton College and Charterhouse with excellent results. She received her BA in Modern Foreign Language from Sheffield University (2.1), completed her MA in Translation and Interpreting from Bath (Merit), and has also completed a TOEFL for English Language. Sian is a keen linguist, and speaks five languages-French, Greek, Portuguese, English and Russian. She has a successful career as a translator of children’s books, and has won two literary awards for her translations. Her tutoring style is nurturing, patient and holistic and she specialises in working with younger students to help them build a strong foundation so they can progress forward in their academic career with confidence. She is available for home-schooling and residentials.
