Becky

Oxbridge Tutor & Mentor

The more I got to know Rebecca, the more I trusted her judgement and enjoyed sharing more of my thoughts, wishes and concerns regarding the children and their education.

Rebecca completed her BA (Hons) First Class in English at Christ Church College, Oxford, and her MA in Renaissance Literature at King’s College, Cambridge. Her tutoring career began in Hong Kong in 2007 where she worked with international school students preparing them for top UK boarding and international school entrance, including with scholarship, as well IGCSE, A-Level and IB. She has expertise in helping students enter prestigious US colleges and UK universities, as well as mentoring students with a range of special educational needs or outstanding achievement to match their abilities and potential to the right pathway. She has a wealth of experience in homeschooling, including in the US and China, as well as teaching in an international boarding school and in alternative educational settings.

A passionate yoga practitioner, Rebecca’s travels in South East Asia and studies in Eastern philosophy inform her compassionate and engaging approach to teaching and mentorship. With her intellectual acuity and belief in cultivating the whole student, Rebecca fosters long-term relationships with families, helping generations of students to find their place in rich and stimulating educational programmes and in rewarding careers from architecture to nursing. A dedicated advocate for neurodivergence, Rebecca has experience working with students with traumatic brain injury, ADHD, Autism and dyslexia, and has training in trauma-informed yoga teaching. In her spare time, Rebecca can be found writing, reading, practicing yoga and meditation, walking in nature, swimming or creating art.
