Oguz was in his third year of law school when he moved to the UK from Turkey due to political challenges. While adjusting to life in a new country, his studies took a backseat, and he worked in a supermarket to make ends meet. As one of our pro-bono clients, it was our privilege to support him in getting back on track.
Through our 3D career mentoring program, we quickly discovered that Oguz had a strong drive to succeed—but law may not have been the right fit for him. A few insightful questions revealed that his true passion lay in technology. Oguz had always loved reading about the latest gadgets, and we saw an exciting opportunity for him in the digital world.
With our guidance, Oguz explored different career paths in technology and software engineering. We examined degree options, university consultancy, and job descriptions to pinpoint what would be the best fit. In the end, Oguz was accepted into Brunel University to pursue a degree in technology, aligning his career with his true interests.
Mentoring not only provided him with the practical tools and guidance to get ahead, but it also helped him realize that following his passion was the key to long-term success. Today, Oguz is excited about his future and is well on his way to building a career that truly excites him.
