Alec’s Journey from Uncertainty to Success in Journalism

Alec Bertina, a passionate researcher and writer in international relations, began mentoring in 2019 while pursuing his BA in International Relations at the University of East Anglia. With a keen interest in weapons, conflict, terrorism, and militia groups, he pursued an MA in International Security, graduating with Merit. Within just six months, he earned a featured slot on CNBC. The guidance and encouragement he received through mentoring helped him stay focused, build his portfolio, and break into the competitive field of journalism.
